What was your relationship with hair growing up? I actually had to cut my hair throughout my childhood, so I didn’t really have a strong connection with long hair in fact I only started growing it out around 2009 for 5 years then I would regard 2014 as my first actual big chop.
Year of first big chop: 2014
Number of big chops: multiple!
Reasoning for chop/s: My hair started breaking out so I had to go through with the chop.
Craziest hairstyle to date: I dyed my hair blonde for the first time ever in my life around 2015 and it definitely brought out a different side of me.
Current relationship with hair: I love my hair; it’s currently short and I have found ways to keep it healthy and looking great. Let’s just wait and see what it becomes.
Would you or would you not recommend the big chop and why? I would certainly recommend it, several chops made me feel new and it felt like a new start every time and sometimes that’s all we need and you learn best what works for you through the experiences.
